A plain-language outline of initial data handling.
This notice explains how Lumenieri handles information submitted through the website and its contact form.
August 22, 2026
Responsible business and scope
Lumenieri operates from Costa Rica and is responsible for the information handling described in this notice.
This notice applies to the Lumenieri website and inquiries submitted directly to Lumenieri. It does not apply to client websites or their privacy practices.
Information the form collects
The project inquiry form asks for your name, business name, email address, optional phone number, optional current website, type of business, preferred contact method, and a project summary.
If present in the page URL, basic campaign parameters may also be submitted to help Lumenieri understand how an inquiry reached the site.
Why the information is used
The information is used to confirm receipt, assess and respond to your inquiry, discuss a potential engagement, protect the form from abuse, and troubleshoot delivery failures.
Lumenieri does not use contact-form information for newsletters or promotions without separate consent.
How the message is delivered
Submissions are validated by an Azure-hosted function and temporarily placed in an encrypted Azure Storage queue. A separate worker delivers the inquiry to Lumenieri and sends a localized automatic confirmation to the submitted address using Azure Communication Services Email.
Successfully processed items are deleted from the queue. If delivery repeatedly fails, an item may remain for no more than 24 hours to support retries and operational recovery.
To limit abuse of automatic email, Lumenieri temporarily stores a cryptographic identifier derived from the email address. The identifier does not contain the original address and is deleted after no more than 24 hours.
Cloudflare Turnstile is used to help distinguish legitimate form use from automated abuse. Cloudflare may process technical information under its own privacy terms.
Azure and Cloudflare may process information outside Costa Rica when required by their infrastructure.
Operational logs
Operational logs may record technical events such as request time, success or failure state, and a correlation identifier. The application is designed not to write message bodies, email addresses, phone numbers, or other submitted personal details into logs.
Retention and deletion
Temporary copies used for delivery and retries are deleted after successful processing or, when a failure persists, within no more than 24 hours.
Inquiries that do not result in a business relationship are retained for no more than 12 months. They are then removed from active inboxes through Lumenieri's periodic review.
Messages related to clients, contracts, invoices, record-keeping obligations, or disputes may be retained as long as needed for those purposes.
Cookies and advertising
The initial release does not use an analytics platform, advertising pixels, cross-site remarketing, or session-replay tools. Turnstile and the hosting platform may use necessary technical storage or signals to provide security and delivery services.
Before adding analytics or additional campaign measurement, Lumenieri will review this notice and any consent mechanism that may be required.
